Dear partner,
Greetings from Nijmegen, we hope this email reaches you in good health. We would like to give you our latest update on student mobility at Radboud University during the current COVID-19 situation.
Exchange semester 2, 2020/2021 non-EU partners cancelled
Due to the newly increased travel restrictions and the ongoing uncertainty in how the situation will develop during the coming months, Radboud University has had to make the difficult decision to cancel all physical study exchanges with our partners outside of the EU/EFTA/UK (inbound and outbound) for our 2nd semester 2020/21 (January intake). We are very sorry about this decision and regret any inconvenience this may cause. Especially during these uncertain times, we cherish our partnership and your support more than ever!
Incoming exchange (to Radboud University):
The applications of all non-EU/EFTA/UK students for the 2nd semester will be cancelled by us, which unfortunately also includes your students should you have nominated any students. We will inform all students directly about this. Should students wish to defer their study exchange at Radboud to the academic year 2021/2022, please feel free to nominate them again in due time (deadline 1 May 2021), as part of the previously agreed upon places for 2021/2022. Please note that we unfortunately cannot guarantee any additional places due to the limited housing capacity in Nijmegen.
In case you have already nominated students and they are interested in doing a virtual exchange at Radboud University, please feel free to contact the faculty coordinator to discuss the possibilities.
Housing and visa arrangements have not yet been made by our office, so there will be no consequences regarding these matters.
Outgoing exchange (from Radboud University to abroad):
We have informed our students about the unfortunate decision to cancel their exchange. If you currently have any nominations or applications from Radboud University students, we hereby kindly request you to cancel them. It is unfortunately not possible for our students to directly defer their exchange to the next academic year (Fall 2021/Spring 2022), as we will have a new selection round for 2021/2022. Should you be able to facilitate virtual exchanges for our students, please feel free to contact them and us about what possibilities you can offer so that our students can discuss this option with their study advisor and their International Office at Radboud University.
